The Buffalo Sabres gave their fans something to cheer about on Saturday night, with a hard-earned and deserved 3-1 win over the New York Rangers.

It turns out the sky isn’t falling in Western New York after all. Finally, the Buffalo Sabres have given their fans something to cheer about with their performance on the ice.

The Sabres bounced back from the humiliating season-opener versus the Boston Bruins, to earn a hard-fought 3-1 win over the New York Rangers on Saturday night. In the process, they avoided losing their first two games of the regular season for the fifth time in six years.
