The Toronto Maple Leafs have hit the ice for training camp with the team looking to answer some questions ahead of their regular season opener.

While most of the players on the Toronto Maple Leafs have been on the ice practising and scrimmaging in groups, the real work has gotten underway in Niagara Falls for their on-ice session.

There have been many talking points during the offseason from the signing of John Tavares, who the next captain will be and the William Nylander contract talks. Usually, the first media session provides insight on what the team expects going into training camp and during the season and we saw some of that when players reported for medicals.

One highlighted was Mike Babcock naming the assistant captains for the season which James Reeve wrote about here. Another was the fact that Kyle Dubas is allowing players to grow facial which might not be groundbreaking news but showing his desire to implement his own rules.

Even with all the things being revealed in the early goings there are still some questions left to be answered and most won’t be answered until later into training camp.
