3) Will the offensive line regress this season?

We discussed the offensive line a couple of months ago. Regardless, the question of possible regression still has to be asked as we enter training camp.

What can the Bills expect from their offensive line in 2018? In truth, it would only be a surprise if the unit didn’t regress to some degree this coming season.

You can’t lose a trio as talented as Eric WoodCordy Glenn and Richie Incognito, and not expect some drop off in performance. McDermott has to hope any such drop off is minimal.

Now, this doesn’t mean the offensive line is totally devoid of talent. For a start, Wood’s replacement at center, Russell Bodine, was ever-present for the Cincinnati Bengals during the past four seasons, twice helping them to the playoffs.

Jordan Mills has been steady during his two seasons in Buffalo, and should once again man the right tackle position. And John Miller has potential, albeit unfulfilled as of yet.

Whether the line makes up for the loss of Wood, Glenn and Incognito remains to be seen. Certainly, McDermott will be hoping so, especially for the sake of whoever is lined up under center.
