With training camp set to start on July 26, we look at five questions which will determine how successful the Buffalo Bills are in 2018.

Training camp is usually an exciting time for football fans, including those who follow the Buffalo Bills. Every July hope springs eternal, that this is the season your beloved team reaches the pinnacle of the game.

In fairness to Bills fans, they actually have justification for being excited this time around. After 17 years of frustration and embarrassment, the team finally returned to the playoffs in 2017.

(You can just imagine the 17-season drought was especially tough for Bills fans to contend with. After all, it followed a 12-season stretch where the team qualified for the playoffs 10 times, won four AFC East titles and appeared in four Super Bowls.)

The Bills looked rejuvenated under new head coach Sean McDermott, after two seasons contending with the sloppy leadership of Rex Ryan. McDermott brought in an excellent work ethic, attention to detail, more discipline, and accountability.

In addition, the Bills moved up in this year’s draft, in their quest for the long-term solution at quarterback. And fans will be hoping they did find their man, with the drafting Josh Allen seventh overall.

Of course, whether the Bills actually build on what they achieved last season, is another matter altogether. As such, we consider five questions which will impact how much success they have in 2018.
