TAVARES LINE

With Tavares now coming into the Toronto Maple Leafs organisation, the team have the potential to create one of the most deadly lines in the entire NHL.

This line will now also be known as the Mar-Tav-Mar line, as Tavares will simply push Kadri down to the third line and play alongside Patrick Marleau and Marner.

Marleau, who is a solid goalscorer, and Marner, who has phenomenal hands and is an assist specialist, will be a great pair of players to partner with Tavares.

Each player will make key passes and have plenty of goalscoring opportunities and help the latest addition to the team continue the prolific scoring that saw him earn 37 goals and 84 total points last season.

Marleau’s experience will be a valuable addition next season and Marner’s youth could see him become a long-time partner to Tavares.

They will split ice time with Matthews’ line, with Babcock unlikely to name a set first or second line, preferring to roll lines.

This line could prove deadly next season and will help the team greatly with reaching the playoffs and beyond.
