Toronto Raptors: Possible trade destinations for DeMar DeRozan

This was another team that was floated around as a possibility by ESPN and Bleacher Report where the Raptors would receive the Mavericks first-round pick and guard Wesley Matthews.

Now according to Bleacher Report, Dallas has not shown any interest in moving their first-round pick because they would be taking on a big contract along with moving a valuable pick.  Owner Mark Cuban says that anything can happen but trading their pick would be a long shot.

Matthews was a player that would have been a consideration at the trade deadline as the Raptors would have been adding a veteran with strong perimeter defence and shooting. At the same time, the Raptors have players showing potential in Delon Wright and VanVleet so unless the Raptors are getting that first round pick, it doesn’t look like Dallas would be the best trade partner.

Again things can chance between now and the draft but if nothing is done before then, it would be tough to expect DeRozan to be traded on draft day.
