We offer four reasons why the Toronto Raptors can recover from their 3-0 series deficit, to defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers and advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.

Do you believe in miracles, because the Toronto Raptors certainly need one. Down three games to LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, only four straight wins will turn this series around.

In theory, this is mission impossible, as the Raptors have never won a playoff series against the Cavaliers. Toronto is 2-11 overall in postseason play against Cleveland, has lost nine straight and never beaten them on the road.

It’s effectively series over. And yet — believe it or not — the Raptors still have a chance.

We’re sure you all remember when the Boston Red Sox were down 3-0 in their 2004 ALCS series against the hated New York Yankees. There seemed no way back.

And then, something special happened, as the Red Sox responded with one of the most unlikely sporting comebacks in recent times. Boston advanced to the World Series and finally ended the curse of the Bambino, to win their first championship since 1918.

Yes, it’s a different rivalry, sport, circumstances and so on, but you have to believe, while there’s still life left in the Raptors. Otherwise, what’s the point of even playing the games?
