5. Drake getting heated

It wouldn’t be a Raptors game if Drake didn’t get involved in some war of words. This time he seemed to have found a more willing combatant in Kendrick Perkins, who did not back down when things started to get heated.

It is one thing to try and get into the minds of players on the court, but Perkins is not the type of person Drake should try to pick a fight with. There is a serious size mismatch, even though the likelihood of a physical confrontation was unlikely.

According to ESPN‘s Adrian Wojnarowski, the arguments started when Perkins was talking with Ibaka, which got Drake involved:

"“What happened was I was talking to my old teammate Serge (Ibaka) walking into halftime telling him ‘We about to win this game,’ and Drake butted in talking shit to me. So I said something back to him.”"

It didn’t stop there, as both made sure to get some more words in following the game. Obviously emotions are high after the way the game ended, which probably influenced Drake’s unwillingness to back down.

This could be something the NBA look into and maybe somebody from the Raptors or MLSE will have to pull Drake aside and try to get him to calm down a bit.
