2) Rushes for career-high 212 yards
After two seasons in the NFL, Jackson had achieved some impressive numbers, despite not being a regular starter. He had 871 yards rushing, 507 receiving and 343 return yards, for a total of 1,721.
Jackson loved being in Buffalo playing for the Bills, and the feeling was mutual. As such, he signed a four-year contract extension prior to the 2009 campaign.
That season, the Buffalo Bills entrusted the 2002 Consensus All-American more than ever, as he started 11 times. With one week to go in the regular season, he had achieved his best rushing season yet, with 850 yards on the ground.
However, Jackson and the Bills weren’t finished there, as they aimed to get him over 1,000 rushing yards mark on the season. Fighting against the Indianapolis Colts and a snowstorm, he was given every opportunity, as he carried the rock 33 times.
By the end of the game, the Bills had the win and Jackson had a career-high 212 rushing yards, as he broke the 1,000-yard barrier. However, it turns out this wasn’t the only reason 2009 was a truly special season for him.
