The Toronto Maple Leafs have 10 players set to be Unrestricted Free Agents after this season, leaving them with plenty of decisions to make.

Some of the players are current regulars in the NHL, while others are fringe players or regular AHLers who are unlikely to ever play for the Toronto Maple Leafs moving forward.

With some important contracts due after this season and next, the Leafs will need to look closely at who is set to leave and who should be retained for the foreseeable future.

Here we take a look at the 10 UFAs the Leafs need to make decisions on this offseason:

James van Riemsdyk

Without a doubt, James van Riemsdyk is the biggest UFA the Leafs have to make a decision on this offseason.

The former Philadelphia Flyers winger is in the form of his life, scoring his 33rd goal of the season against Nashville – his eighth goal in five games.

Rumours abound that he is gunning for a big payday at the end of the season, in the region of $6 million for six years.

If JVR is willing to take a team-friendly deal in the summer, then he is a must re-sign.

If he is adamant about earning more money, then he should be allowed to hit free agency and let the Leafs look at other options without the cap space restrictions.
