FIRST ROUND, 21st OVERALL

Louisville. Lamar Jackson. 21. player. 16. . Quarterback

Lamar Jackson is an interesting dual-threat prospect at quarterback, standing at 6-foot-2 and 205 lbs.

The Louisville Cardinals starter last season threw a respectable 27 touchdowns and 10 interceptions, completed 254 of 420 passes for 3,660 yards and led the team to a 8-5 record.

But it was on the ground that Jackson particularly excelled, rushing for 1,601 yards and gaining 18 touchdowns on his way to the TaxSlayer Bowl (which the Cardinals lost 31-27 to Mississippi State).

Jackson is less polished than some of the top QB prospects in this year’s draft, with a weaker lower-body than is desired at the NFL level.

With the Buffalo Bills picking up a free agent to take the reins, Jackson will not be expected to start early on.

He will sit and work on developing himself physically, before aiming to push for the team’s starting job in 2019.

Due to his huge upside, being compared to Michael Vick in terms of his speed and ability to run with the ball, a first-round pick seems appropriate even if he needs some time to develop.
