5. Home sweet home for the Bills

With the final regular season home game in the books for 2017 it’s time to recognize just how good New Era Field has been to the Bills this season.

With a home record of 6-2 the Bills are tied with the Jacksonville Jaguars for the best in the AFC and are only behind the Philadelphia Eagles (6-0), Minnesota Vikings (6-1) and New Orleans Saints  (6-1) for the best home record in the NFL.

This is the best home record the Bills have had since 1999 when the team finished the season at 11-5 and 6-2 at home.

Coincidently that was the last time the Bills made the playoffs.

As they hit the road for the final two games of the season the Bills will have to exorcise their away game demons in order to reach the promise land of the 2017 AFC playoffs.

What better way to do that than against New England where Buffalo is 2-14 in Foxborough since the Brady-Belichick era began in 2001.

The Bills and Patriots will kick off at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
