As speculation increases about Evander Kane’s future with the Buffalo Sabres, we look at four of the most likely destinations.

Evander Kane has been involved in trade rumors for quite some time now. Though Buffalo Sabres fans may not want to see him gone by the deadline, a trade could be coming.

Potential Stanley Cup contenders have been looking Kane’s way, as he’s been the biggest bright spot on Buffalo this season. The 26-year-old has 12 goals and 12 assists in 27 games this campaign. If Kane keeps up his current pace he’ll likely reach 30 goals, which would be a career-high.

As a result of Kane’s sublime play, it’s almost been unavoidable for him to stay away from the rumor mill. TSN’s Pierre LeBrun reports that the Buffalo Sabres might be looking to unload cap space with the trade of Kane:

"So, Buffalo has started to tell teams and will continue to do so that they’re willing to eat some of Evander Kane’s $5.25 million salary in order to facilitate a trade for those teams with cap problems."

We now take a look at some of Kane’s potential trade destinations. In no way, shape or form are we saying that he will definitely be gone. Fans can speculate as to what a potential return could be.
