4. Special teams were crucial for the Bills
They don’t always get the love and respect as they should but this week the Bills special teams played a critical role in making sure the team came away from Arrowhead Stadium with a win.
As WROC TV’s Dan Fetes pointed out on Twitter punter Colton Schmidt was pinning the Chiefs deep in their own zone all game.
Stat of the day: The #Bills punted 7 times on Sunday against the #Chiefs.

Colton Schmidt averaged 41.1 yards per punt, pinned 4 of them inside the 20 AND held Tyreek Hill to ZERO return yards. pic.twitter.com/NjGt2e9GBC
While kicker Steven Hauschka was no slouch either as he made three of four field goal attempts including a record setting 56-yard kick.
With his 56-yard field goal, Stephen Hauschka now has seven 50-yard field goals this season – setting a Bills record, passing Dan Carpenter’s six in 2014. pic.twitter.com/mXBRPKzQxh

The Bills will need to have all three phases of their game playing perfectly in order to make the playoffs and the special teams definitely did their part on Sunday.
