Buffalo Sabres lose wild game in Buffalo
By Nick McAdam
Sabres Player of the Game
Nolan has been looking like the guy that puts in the effort in each game, but never gets rewarded. Well, he finally got the spotlight in this contest and earned Player of the Game in the process.
The son of former Bufffalo Sabres coach Ted Nolan took a feed from Okposo and flew down the right wing. Nolan ripped a clean wrist shot past Dubnyk to start the second period. The former LA King possessed the puck on the near boards and just fired on the Wild goalie. Luckily, it squeezed through Dubnyk’s legs for the goal that put the Sabres just down from one.
It’s great to see Nolan get rewarded. It’d be even better if some of the other depth guys can starting replicating what Nolan did, on a regular basis.
