Toronto Maple Leafs: Five logical trade partners to help improve the team
Minnesota Wild
The Wild have struggled out of the gate this season and part of it has been the injuries but they also lack talent in their top-six. After recently being called out by their head coach Bruce Boudreau, only player seemed to have taken it to heart and that is Jason Zucker scoring five goals in two games.

After all those years of coaching a high level offence in Washington, it is interesting to see Boudreau transition to a team that take a defence first mentality. This season however, the Wild are struggling to keep the puck out of the net as they rank 22nd in goals against with 43.
The Wild are a team that could definitely use some scoring help on the wing especially if Zach Parise struggles following back surgery.
The Leafs can once again take a look at the strong blueline that the Wild employ and try to put a deal together that works for them. However, the Wild lean heavily on Ryan Suter and Jared Spurgeon so any deal might look at Jonas Brodin and Matt Dumba.
Dumba needs a new contract but the Wild should be in no rush since he is a restricted free agent however, Boudreau has not been a big fan of Dumba this season. Brodin was recently signed to a new extension but his name has come up in trade talk in the past and is a more consistent defender.
They might not be willing to make a move yet but at some point Minnesota will need to address their mix upfront and the Leafs might have what they are looking for.
