The Toronto Maple Leafs still need to address a couple issues on their roster and there are some NHL teams that can help fill some of the holes.

There has been a lot of suggestions on where the Toronto Maple Leafs should be looking to make upgrades to the roster. With an obvious need for some help on the blueline and if possibly add some depth at center, there are only few teams that would be logical trade partners.

The obvious trade chip the Leafs have are the many wingers that could be made available for teams. Obviously the first name that comes to mind is James van Riemsdyk along with Leo Komarov who are free agents.

There has been a lot of discussion surrounding Mitch Marner and whether the Leafs would be willing to move him to a team in desperate need of a dynamic play-maker. However, if this management group has shown anything, it is their willingness to be patient and every move is calculated, so it would be tough to see the Leafs be willing to move Marner to get that defenceman.

When they made the trade for Bryan Boyle last season the Leafs knew that they did not have an internal solution for their lack of depth at center. While paying a second round pick is a high price, it was worth it given that it helped the Leafs get into the playoffs and against a tough Washington Capitals team in the first round.

The Leafs went into this season with increased expectations and with the team struggling in a couple of areas, it has some calling for a trade to be made in order to improve the team now.

So here are of the teams the Leafs could call for an upgrade and what they can offer.
