4) The Raptors attempt more than 40 3’s 10 times this season

Have you watched a Toronto Raptors pre-season game? These players are just jacking shots with reckless abandon.

If I made this prediction last year you’d think I’d be abusing illicit substances but no, the Raptors are gonna be chucking it from deep this year. First you look at the roster and say ‘But, Demar, the only 3-point shooters on the team are Kyle Lowry, Serge Ibaka, C.J. Miles and Powell on a good day’ and you’d be correct.

There are very few proven shooters on the team. However, the culture change is real this season, the iso, pound the rock offence is gone; welcome to the motion offence where everyone is (but really isn’t) a 3-point shooter.

5) K.J. McDaniels isn’t making the team

K.J. McDaniels is probably the best volleyball player to ever play basketball. He can jump out of the gym for blocks and dunks and he’s one of the fastest players on the court no matter who he shares it with.

But the dude has no ball skills, like, none. Athleticism only gets you so far in the league and McDaniels had a nice run on the 76ers in their dark ages, but the buck stops here. The Raptors need youngsters with potential, not dime a dozen athletes.
