Toronto Maple Leafs
TORONTO, ON – APRIL 19: Tyler Bozak /

Zach Hyman as Hodor

Hyman is the hard-working winger on the Leafs that did what was asked of him from coach Mike Babcock. Hodor is the hard-working servant of the Stark house that did what was asked of him from, well, everyone.

Both Hyman and Hodor were important to their group and stepped up in big moments. If it wasn’t for Hodor then there’s no way Bran gets to where he is now. Despite not putting up so many points, Hyman did help create chances and opportunities for Matthews and Nylander.

Additionally, there name’s both start with H, so there’s that too.

Nazem Kadri as Sansa Stark

Kadri and Sansa could both be considered roller coasters. There were high hopes for Kadri, but it never seemed like he would break out at any point. Fans were starting to think he might be a first round bust despite the obvious skill.

Sansa was arguably one of the most annoying characters in the beginning of the series. However, fans started to sympathize with her once she started to suffer at the hands of the Lannisters and Ramsay Bolton.

Thankfully, both have found their roles and are excelling in them both now. Kadri has just come off a career high in goals and has developed into a shutdown two-way centre while Sansa has finally started to play the game.

Tyler Bozak as Theon Greyjoy

It’s tough trying to be something that you’re not. Theon did everything he could to prove to his family that he was good enough to lead his people, but failed. Bozak was known as the Leafs “number one centre” for a while although he lacked the skill and ability to be that.

Both are now where they are meant to be: supporting roles. Theon is supporting his sister in her claim for the Salt Throne, and Bozak is the team’s third line centre (or maybe second who knows).

Leo Komarov as Jorah Mormont

Two veterans who can still produce when needed. Jorah and Komarov are looked upon by their groups for support and guidance when things get messy. Not only that, they both have a deep desire for staying with their groups and seeing them go on to the end.

Jorah wants to see Daenerys on the Iron Throne and there’s no doubt Komarov wants to help the Leafs hoist the Stanley Cup.

James van Riemsdyk as The Hound

JVR and the Hound are definitely two who have been burned the most. JVR disappointed a lot of fans with his inconsistent play at times and the fact that he is always included in trade rumours. The Hound was actually burnt by his older brother.

Despite their short comings, both have been able to step up when it counts and at times been heroes. How long that lasts is the question.
