Moving On
Leafs nation didn’t just have reactions to who was coming in, but for who was moving out. Brian Boyle and Matt Hunwick signed elsewhere July 1st. Boyle took a two-year, $2.55 million deal with the New Jersey Devils and Hunwick signed a three-year, $2.25 million deal with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Boyle grew on the hearts of Leafs fans after he was acquired many wanted to see him return. It was a roller coaster with Hunwick in his two years with the team but Leafs fans seemed to warm up to him in the final months of the season.
Don't understand why #Leafs didn't sign @BriBrows22. Great player who looked good while here.

So far today the Leafs have added Ron Hainsey and lost Brian Boyle and Matt Hunwick. Losing Boyle sucks.

It's year 2 of the rebuild. Settle down. Not getting Boyle sucks but it's not like he was the key to a Cup. #tmltalk #Leafs

I'm going to miss Brian Boyle so much. #FreeAgentFrenzy #Leafs

I'd rather have Hainsey than Hunwick. So even though it's not a great upgrade in Toronto, it's still an upgrade.
