Re-signing the goaltenders
One of the first signings to be announced addressed the Leafs’ backup position as Curtis McElhinney and Garret Sparks were brought back. McElhinney received a two-year, $1.7 million deal while Sparks will be making $1.3 million for the same term.
When called on to take the crease, McElhinney did his job. Good back up. Glad he resigned. #Leafs

So #leafs are again 3-deep in goal w a firm #1, good vet back-up and a seasoned younger w upside to push #2. Good mix. https://t.co/IrfZznxVsA

With the price on goalies signing today, starting to feel better about #Leafs sticking with McElhinney and Sparks
