If you thought things couldn’t get any worse for the Toronto Blue Jays, think again. Another injury sends yet another Blue Jay to the disabled list. To make it worse, it’s another injury to left field.

It’s another day in the MLB regular season and baseball fans all around are well invested into the season. It’s exciting to see the all-star voting heat up, young players continuing to shine, and teams overall rising the ranks.

For the Toronto Blue Jays, however, fans deal with the issue of injuries. Never did that traditional workplace sign of “(insert number) of days since without injury” describe a team so perfectly.

The next victim? Ezequiel Carrera. The affected position? Left field. Again.

During Tuesday night’s bout against the Tampa Bay Rays, Carrera fouled off a ball that bounced off his foot. That resulted in crutches and visit to the “ten” day disabled list.

Who knows how long Carrera will be gone for this time as the Blue Jays have seen multiple players head to the ten day disabled list yet have been out for a month.

More importantly, what’s happening to the left field position?

Here’s a quick summary.

All kidding aside, let’s take a look at a deeper summary of who’s been affected in left field, their current state, and who can step in?
