2) The big boys are back
If you had to describe the month of May in terms of injuries, it will probably consist of words that we’re not allowed to use here at Tip of the Tower.
In other words, it was bad. Real bad.
However, the final stretch of the month brought back the likes of Josh Donaldson, Troy Tulowitzki, J.A. Happ and even Francisco Liriano, who’s expected to start Friday night against the New York Yankees.
Despite the theme of the month being “injuries”, the rest of the team has stepped up and helped get within a game of a .500 record.
The return of their key players have already made their mark.
Tulowitzki’s return has been noted with his bat, hitting a grand slam against the Cincinnati Reds in a 17-2 win. Apart from his offence, Tulo’s been showing the leather too, saving the game Tuesday night with a great defensive stop:

With a complete team once again, the Blue Jays can look for those offensive boosts. The pitching with their defence has stepped up, as well. However, as will be covered in the next slide, June might be a month where the future could start to take shape.
