Lament the fact that Dwane Casey is still the Raptors coach

When Masai Ujiri alluded to a culture change in his end of season presser, ears peaked for news of a coaching change. That did not happen, in fact Dwane Casey publicly stated that he was reassured that he’ll be back as the Raptors coach.

To all the Dwane Casey haters this is like extinction phase of  Pavlovian conditioning. Every year it seems like the end of the Casey era is around the corner, every year the ending seems nigh. A little talk about change here, a little talk playoff disappointment there, and it all looks plausible and then… nothing. Everytime nothing. He’s the coach and he’s going to stay the coach, don’t believe any rumors or speculation about his position, he ain’t out until Ujiri says he’s out.
