Can Nylander break Canadians hearts and help Sweden win their 10th World Championship gold?
Mitch Marner
Marner began the tournament on Canada’s fourth line, playing alongside Brayden Point and Travis Konecny. That line has done wonders for the team, with Marner leading the way with 11 points in nine games so far.
Along with a two assist-performance in a 6-0 thumping of Belarus, Marner had a highlight reel goal against Finland.
He was also displaying some great stickhandling and zone entries in that game.
In the win against Russia, Marner had an assist on Canada’s first goal by Mark Scheifele.
He sits behind Nathan MacKinnon in team scoring, but considering his position on the depth chart, that’s extremely impressive.
