Linebacker Matt Milano (Round 5, 163rd Overall)

Grade: B

Bio: Played at Boston College / 6 foot / 223 pounds

Resume: 2016 All-ACC honorable mention

Strengths: Hard-nosed, aggressive player who actively seeks contact, hardly misses any tackles, good instincts honed from previously playing safety – this also helps him in pass coverage, excellent on special teams.

Weaknesses: Undersized, sometimes too instinctive with his tackling, i.e. needs to think more, not a particularly fast player, question marks about ability to become a starter in the NFL.

Overall: Contrasting opinions, with some experts claiming Milano was taken too high. However, others believe his size was the only reason he was still available. Linebacker was one of the Bills’ biggest needs. Even if he doesn’t become a starter, he will add depth and contribute immediately on special teams.
