Cornerback Tre’Davious White (Round 1, 27th Overall)

Grade: A

Bio: Played at LSU / 5 foot 11 / 192 pounds

Resume: 2016 Consensus All-American & First-team All-SEC, 2015 Second-team All-SEC

Strengths:  Arguably the second-best cornerback in the draft, offers versatility – capable of playing outside and in the slot, excellent footwork, doesn’t seek out contact but doesn’t miss many tackles, unselfish teammate who also returns punts.

Weaknesses: Not the most physical of corners, could have issues with bigger receivers, doesn’t make many picks.

Overall: Just what the Bills needed, after the loss of Stephon Gilmore. Renowned for his excellent character, he is the perfect type of player for a team looking to recover from the chaos of the Rex Ryan regime. He is better in zone coverage, which plays into the scheme McDermott will use.
