3) Mike Williams

Williams is the one holdover from when we previously offered four options last month, for the Bills to take in the first round. Here is what we wrote at the time about him:

"The Bills will be looking to get better production from their passing game, after ranking 30th in the league last season. As such, the case for Williams is a compelling one. The 22-year old is coming off a sensational season, where his 1,361 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns helped the Clemson Tigers win the national championship. Certainly, the combo of Williams and Sammy Watkins would be a dangerous one for opposing defenses to contend with. In truth, Watkins himself is part of the reason drafting Williams could be seen as a good move. The 2014 fourth overall draft pick’s injury issues since entering the NFL, mean he is no sure thing to be a consistent option in the Bills offense. Another reason for going down this road is the potential loss of Robert Woods, who is a free agent. While he’s suggested he’s open to returning to Buffalo, it will only take one big money offer from someone else and he’s gone."

Obviously, we now know Woods did indeed leave the Bills. As such, the need for help at the wide receiver positions has become even more important.
