It’s very easy to ride the Toronto Raptors tide to the finish line, until you hit a statistic or moment that really makes you think about recent events at hand.

When you cover a team such as the Toronto Raptors for 70+ games, it’s easy to get caught up in the flow of the action. A player goes down to injury here, a DeMar DeRozan 40-point game there, a block by Delon Wright here, a funny Instagram post there.

Essentially, it’s very easy to ride the Raptors’ rolling tide to the finish line, until you hit a statistic or moment that really makes you think about recent events at hand. These are called revelations and I’ve had a few of them recently.

Ideally, this would be titled “6 Raptors revelations” to create that Drake-Toronto-Raptors connection. But I turned the 6 upside down — it’s a 9 now.
