Delon Wright has looked frisky as the back up point lately. What’s his future with the Raptors?

Chris: Wright’s future is still in “wait-and-see” mode. Until the Raptors make a decision on Lowry’s future, the team should hang onto all three of their backup point guards as insurance. Either way, I’d like to see Wright play for a full season before deciding what to do with him.

Demar: One among many things I must commend Masai Ujiri for is his drafting. He’s able to find these obtuse players late in the draft that somehow find a niche in NBA.

We saw it with Norman Powell, saw some flashes of it with Pascal Siakam and now we’re seeing a nearly a full season of it from Wright. I love Wrights length, he averages 2.3 deflections per game and disrupts a lot of plays by just pestering the ball handler.

The one knock on Wright is that he has Rajon Rondo syndrome, passing too much instead of looking for his own shot on drives, although he is a good passer.

I think he can be a very good backup guard on the Toronto Raptors. That does mean some things have to break his way, Lowry has to leave of CoJo gets traded but Wright absolutely has the talent to be a rotational piece on any squad in the NBA.
