By Paul Taylor

One of the highlights of the NFL offseason is looming, as the Buffalo Bills prepare for the 2017 draft. This year’s edition will take place in Philadelphia for the first time since 1961.
Regardless of where it takes place though, the draft will once again be an important step in the Bills’ attempts to turn around their franchise. The now 17-year playoff drought is becoming increasingly painful, especially for the fans.
As we know, there’s always a possibility of finding a hidden gem in the later rounds of the draft. For the Bills, prime examples include Andre Reed (4th round ) and Howard Ballard (11th round).
However, the first round still represents the highest probability of finding that superstar that can galvanize your team. In that respect, the Bills are always looking for the next Jim Kelly or Bruce Smith.
For the Bills, the needs are many, including wide receiver and safety. Depending on what happens to Tyrod Taylor and Stephon Gilmore, you might need to add quarterback and cornerback to the list.
This year, the Bills will be drafting 10th overall in the first round. We now look at the four candidates with the best chance of being picked by the front office.
