Was Joel Embiid out of line when calling Lowry his next point guard? Should we make anything of it?

Chris: Considering how much of a character Joel Embiid is, I wouldn’t read too much into this. I mean, I know Ben Simmons isn’t playing yet, but he’s the future point guard for “the Process,” not Lowry. In other words, Lowry is our process, Joel! Don’t try and convince him otherwise! Thanks.

Sincerely, Raptors’ fans.

Demar: Not really, Joel Embiid’s humor is what makes him, him. Don’t forget him getting shot down by Rihanna and then him posting it on social media.

Don’t forget the Shirley Temple stories, calling himself “The Process,” or the Triple H spit take he did during Wrestlemania. Embiid is a joker and will continue to joke until he retires. Raptors’ fans are sensitive, especially with Lowry’s contract ending this year, but it was a joke people.
