Other than Kyle Lowry, who’s been playing the best ball for the Raptors during this turbulent stretch?

Chris: Man, this is a difficult question because every player has been sporadic, but I think Norman Powell is the right answer here. Norm has filled in admirably for DeRozan and the Raptors need to make him a part of their rotation going forward — why he wasn’t already is perplexing.

Aside from Norm, I think you could pick a player for a specific game, but not overall. It’s truly been a game-by-game situation.

Demar: Unsurprisingly (to me) Powell drew the start since DeRozan injured his ankle and he is thriving. Averaging 14.7 points, four rebounds and two assists as a starter while also shooting 38 percent from range and some hardy defence is not DeRozan production, but it’s the best you can ask for in his absence.

Although a little undersized, Norm is proving to be the perfect complimentary piece for Lowry – he hits threes’, plays defence, loves to run in the break and has a little wiggle off the dribble. Did I mention he’s only 23 years old?
