Most Valuable Player

Kyle Lowry

Regardless of what the All-Star ballot votes say, Lowry is the most valuable player on this Raptors roster. Averaging 22.2 points and 7.2 assists this year, he is having another career year. (Did I mention he’s shooting 44 percent from three-point land?)

Lowry started off slowly while DeRozan evolved into the second coming of Kobe Bryant, so he hasn’t received his just due. He’s within the top 10 of true shooting percentage and the Lowry + the Bench lineup has continue to absolutely annihilated teams. It feels like every time he releases the ball it’s going through the net.

With how hot Lowry’s been lately, he surely must cool down at some point. He’s playing 37.2 minutes a game and with aging and impending playoff run on the horizon, we wouldn’t be stunned to see his minutes and by extension his averages come down in the near future.

Other Nominee: DeMar DeRozan
