Breakout Player of the Year

Terrence Ross

T-Ross is the boss.

The eye test says this is the best version of Ross there has ever been. If you look at the numbers, Ross is actually attempting less threes and playing less minutes than last year, but his efficiency has sky rocketed, posting a 0.574 true shooting percentage.

The boss has fallen back to 38 percent from his 45 percent from three-point range earlier in the season, but his play is much more reliable. He is up to averaging a steal per game now, you can always find him hawking passing lanes.

T-Ross is finally learning how to leverage his athletic gifts on the court other than only through spectacular dunks. Averaging 10.6 points off the bench is only an incremental upgrade from last year, but it is no longer feast or famine with Ross. It’s a steady diet of three-point shooting and athleticism now.

Other Nominees: Pascal Siakam & Lucas Nogueria
