3) CALLAN FOOTE

Kelowna Rockets (WHL) | Canada/USA | 6’3 | 209lbs | Ranked 13th

Foote is a big-bodied Canadian/American defenceman that has a keen eye for offence, having almost eclipsed his points total from last season in 26 fewer games.

Playing for the Kelowna Rockets of the WHL, the 18-year old stands at an impressive 6-foot-3, 209 pounds, which will be highly attractive to NHL teams this upcoming draft.

The Leafs are looking more and more likely to make the playoffs this season and may need to make a deal to trade up, if they believe Foote is an ideal piece for them.

The Englewood, Colorado native is ranked 13th, having dropped three places in the HockeyProspects.com rankings, and could be an immediate starter in the NHL if partnered with a veteran.

Foote is a right-handed shot and partnering him with the likes of Jake Gardiner could help him slot into the Leafs’ team quite well.
