B. In his two starts with the Leafs this season <a rel=. G. Toronto
Maple Leafs. ANTOINE BIBEAU

It was a tough go for <a rel=. G. Toronto
Maple Leafs. JHONAS ENROTH. D

CURTIS MCELHINNEY. TBD. It is tough to give a player a grade based on one start, but Curtis McElhinney would receive an A after his first start with the Leafs. The London, Ontario native was waived by the Columbus Blue Jackets, despite only one regulation loss in five starts, and turned in a 37 save performance in a crucial game against the Ottawa Senators. He is exactly the type of backup goalie that the Leafs need, especially with the lack of experience with Bibeau and the poor play from Enroth. If he can continue to provide stability behind Andersen the Leafs can lighten their starting goaltender’s workload and give Bibeau more time to develop in the AHL. Considering the Leafs paid nothing to acquire McElhinney, we should give Leafs management a lot of credit in solving a problem without overpaying to do it. – Dave Morassutti. G.
