A lot of change has transpired with the Toronto Maple Leafs during the last 365 days and we decided to take a look back at the top 10 moments of 2016.

For the first time in a long time, Toronto Maple Leafs fans can genuinely look back and say things were different in 2016.

No, I don’t mean this year was different because it was the team’s 100th season, it was different because the organization finally committed to taking a different approach towards building a successful team.

The previous strategy of trying to rebuild on the fly was no more. Instead, the organization did exactly what they promised they would do, which was go through the pain and lose. And boy, did they ever lose.

However, something great came out of all this losing in the form of a franchise centre, or saviour depending on who you ask, and for the first time in years, the Toronto Maple Leafs fan base has genuine hope for a successful future.

Of course, a whole heck of a lot more happened, so let’s take a look a the top 10 Maple Leafs moments in 2016.
