8) Joseph Woll – G Boston College Eagles (NCAA):

There aren’t many freshman who can make an instant impact for national powerhouses in college hockey, but Woll is doing just that for Boston College this season. Taking over the pipes for Hobey Baker finalist Thatcher Demko came with an insane amount of pressure for Woll, but he has deflected that by putting together a rather impressive freshman season for Jerry York’s Eagles.

Playing in the best conference in college hockey, Woll has been terrific for BC and has started 17 of 20 games for a team with legit National Championship aspirations. While he is still a few years away, I really do think that he will follow in the footsteps of Demko as a really big athletic goaltender who has the ability to be a No. 1 in the NHL.

Woll is by far the Leafs top goaltender prospect, and will be looked upon to not only lead the Eagles to a championship this year and beyond, but to also lead team USA to a gold medal at the World Juniors later this month.
