5) Nikita Korostelev – RW Sarnia Sting (OHL):

The last player taken by the Leafs in the 2015 Draft, Korostelev has come a long way from last season’s debacle with Sarnia where his points actually dropped from his draft year and he looked like a player who wouldn’t be anything more than a wasted pick by the Leafs.

After underachieving on a talented Sarnia team, Korostelev has had quite a nice comeback season for the Sting, showing off his skill on some big time goals and putting up the points that many believed he could.

A skilled winger with decent size and a good skater, Korostelev reminds me a lot of former Leafs winger Nikolai Kulemin and current Leaf Connor Brown, as forwards who are highly skilled and can play a complete game as a bottom six forward. Look out for Korostelev potentially making an impact with the Leafs one day.
