Frederik Andersen Rebounds From First Loss

Frederik Andersen had many doubters after a tough start in the preseason and in his first regular season start against Ottawa. He may have silenced those critics for the time being giving up one goal on 25 shots, which is much better than the five goals he gave up against Ottawa. If the Leafs want any success this season Andersen will be a major part of that because the Leafs have seen first hand what happens when goaltending goes south.

Andersen did not see a lot of shots but he had to make tough saves, especially in the second period, to preserve the Leafs lead. This should give the Leafs’ new starting goaltender a solid performance to build on and hopefully he can continue that strong play throughout the season.
