7. JD Barehanded Grab and Gun

With the game tied, Matt Wieters hit a weak dribbler down the third base line. Josh Donaldson made a barehanded grab and gunned it to first and beat out Wieters to register the first out of the inning.

This easily could’ve gone all wrong, resulting in putting on the seventh innings leadoff batter. It’s always dangerous when the leadoff batter of the opposing team gets on base and it’s especially nerve wrecking when it’s a tie game in the top of the seventh in a winner take all game.

Brett Cecil went on to walk Chris Davis, so thankfully JD did what he did and it wasn’t two on with none away. He’s done it time and time again and we can’t take for granted how beautiful that play was.
