4. Tulo’s Diving Snag and Throw

Tulo dove and snagged a ball that surely looked like it was going squeeze by and made a strong throw to Encarnacion  to get the second out in the fifth.

This was such an important out because the very next batter, Michael Bourn, hit a single. So rather than it being man on first and second with one away, it was just one man on with two away. Stroman ended up striking out J.J. Hardy to end the inning but if there was only one away, Stroman would have to face the top of the order with two men on and that’s definitely not a great position to be in.
