Vincent Damphousse: 1986 NHL Entry Draft – First Round (sixth overall)

GP: 1378     G: 432     PTS: 1205

Vincent Damphousse was consistently ranked among the leagues’ best scorers throughout his 19 NHL seasons. Six times he registered more than 80 points in a single year, yet time after time he was traded from team to team.

Damphousse only played five of his 19 seasons with the Leafs. After his 94-point 1989-90 season, he was traded to the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for future Hall of Famers Grant Fuhr and Glenn Anderson.

Despite scoring 38 goals and registering 89 points, Damphousse was dealt to the Montreal Canadiens after one season, where he tallied 498 points over the next six and a half seasons.

The Canadiens also chose to ship Damphousse off, and he spent the last five years of his career with the San Jose Sharks as his production started to decline. He retired during the 2004-05 NHL lockout.
