As the Toronto Blue Jays prepare for the home stretch, we count down five storylines which will influence the remainder of the regular season.

It’s somewhat hard to believe, but we’re already down to the final month of the regular season (save for two games in October). Mind you; I’m sure Toronto Blue Jays fans will agree that time flies when you’re having fun.

In that respect, it’s certainly been an interesting 2016 campaign for the Blue Jays up to this point. However, through all the ups and downs, they enter September in the same position as last season – first place in the American League East.

Of course, as well as John Gibbons’ men have done up this point, things can change very quickly in the world of Major League Baseball. Such is the nature of a game, where you play nearly every day.

The question is, what will the Blue Jays need to do between now and the end of the regular season, to secure a second straight postseason appearance? We count down five storylines which will have a major impact on how things pan out between now and October 2nd.
