Drake is the global ambassador (whatever that means) for the Raptors, so he has a very apparent influence. There are no other teams that have a rapper as influential as Drake putting on for their city and team.

The black and gold mesh perfectly and give a feeling of power and exclusivity that you just don’t get with other jersey colours. The black and gold don’t scream Raptors or Canada, so I can see why it became an alternate, but you would be hard-pressed to find a fan who doesn’t adore this jersey’s colour scheme.
