2) Jozy Altidore’s hamstring issues

When Altidore is on form, he’s tough to stop. Strong as an ox, he’s arguably the best target man in MLS, capable of holding up the ball and opening things up for Giovinco and his other teammates.

The 26-year old is renowned as an excellent all-around forward, who is already on course to set a new personal best for assists in a season. And contrary to popular belief, the 26-year old is capable of scoring goals, as evidenced by four in his last five games.

Here’s the problem though – Altidore has ongoing problems with his hamstring. These issues have limited him to eight starts and 14 overall games out of a possible 25 so far this season.

To his credit, the US international has tried everything possible to stay healthy, including a new training regime and improving his diet. However, there are still some concerns, and his ability to stay on the pitch will play a major part in how successful TFC are the rest of the way.
