As Toronto FC prepare for the final two months of the regular season, here are five storylines you need to follow.

Toronto FC fans must sometime have to pinch themselves. Before last season, they were considered somewhat of a laughing stock around the league, having never made the playoffs since entering the league in 2007.

Even when the front office tried to do things the right way, they still went wrong. Look no further than the ill-fated signing of Jermaine Defoe, who unfortunately lived up (down?) to his reputation of being injury-prone, among other things.

Fortunately for TFC and their fans, things finally started to go right last year. The signing of Sebastian Giovinco heralded the beginning of a new era, which saw them make the playoffs for the first time in franchise history.

Now, the team quite rightly has its sights set on bigger goals. We take a look at five storylines which need to be followed during the remainder of the 2016 campaign.
