Similar to Alexander, the Bills signed Lattimore during the offseason, in part due to his play on special teams. In addition, he was also undrafted out of college.

Now, the 27-year old could well get to see playing time for one of the thinnest linebacking corps in the NFL. Although listed as an inside linebacker on the Bills depth chart, his position is also helped by having previously played on the outside, during his time in Green Bay.

Just to be clear, no one is suggesting Lattimore will be challenging for a spot in the starting lineup. Despite the long list of injuries on defense, there are still several alternative options which make more sense.

In addition, the Miami, Florida native’s NFL career has been mostly unremarkable to this point. Regardless, the opportunity is still there if he’s willing to take it, to prove he is worthy of being a key backup on the Bills defense.
