2) Running Backs & Fullback

Running back depth chart:

LeSean McCoy, Mike Gillislee, Reggie Bush, Jonathan Williams

Fullback depth chart:

Jerome Felton

Observations:

Barring any injury concerns, McCoy is rock solid as the Bills number one tailback. However, there are a myriad of questions surrounding the other backs in camp.

The first revolves around who will be McCoy’s main backup? We figure Gillislee will get the nod to spell him when he is winded, while Bush will be used mostly as a third-down back.

Karlos Williams‘ weight issues and violation of the league’s substance abuse policy set off a sequence of events, which could theoretically cost him a place on the team. It will be a battle between him and the ‘other’ Williams for the final running back spot on the active roster, once he returns from his four-game absence.

Whatever happens, Boom Herron and James Wilder Jr. will be on the outside looking in, when it comes to making the 53-man roster. There is no debate at fullback, with Felton firmly entrenched as the starter, meaning there will be no place for Glenn Gronkowski.
